Gentlemen:
At Monday's Meeting (March 12th) we made a motion and donated $500.00 to
Enterprise Bank in the name of the McLaughlin Family. Much has been
reported about this family whose mother died, of pneumonia, 6 weeks
after giving birth to their seventh child.
Nelson McCarthy mentioned the family from a personal perspective.
Over $ 300.00 was collected from the men at the meeting and the
remainder needed to make a total of $ 500.00 came from the Charity
Account. It was mentioned that maybe members who were not present may
want to assist this family. It was also mentioned that we may want to
make another donation at a later date. I was asked to send out an
e-mail blurb to all with the above in mind.
Therefore: If you would like to help this family with a monetary
donation, please send a check to David Breen, 5 Hearthstone Road,
Westford, MA 01886. Make the check payable to KofC 9275 Charity Fund
with the notation for the McLaughlin Family.
