The annual Ham & Bean Supper at St. John's is scheduled for Saturday, February 17th, after the 4PM Mass.  Tickets are $6, and $5 for seniors & children over the age of 3.  Last year the supper was well-attended and enjoyed -- and a boost to the Council budget.
Tickets are available from Dick Curtis (978-692-7924 or Dick.Curtis@hp.com ).  Please contact Dick if you can work during the afternoon or evening (on the cooking, the serving, or the cleanup) or if you can bring some potato salad.

We need help at the St. Mary’s Bottle Drive this Sat from 3 – 5 and
Sunday from 8 AM to 1 PM. We do have a CCD class on Sunday, too.

Any knight going to the 3rd Degree Sunday needs to let PGK John
Lamplough know preferably by Friday night and Saturday morning at the
latest. Contact him at 978-256-2625 or at lmpl@comcast.net
<Compose?To=lmpl@comcast.net>. We currently have 2 members attending and
would like more.

The Super Bowl Pool winners were John Lamplough $150, Melissa Oliver $75
and Howie Burns $75. Both work with John. I want to thank everyone who
bought squares and it brought in $200 for Buildings & Grounds.

Boston Catholic Men's Conference

To Brother Knights,

Have you heard about the Boston Catholic Men's Conference, yet? Last year,
over 5,200 men attended the event, far exceeding the initial hopes for
3,000 men! Over 2,000 men experienced the Sacrament of Reconcilation --
200 priests turned out to hear Confessions and experience the day! There
were terrific speakers and the day ended with the celebration of Mass
led by Archbishop Sean O'Malley. This year's conference is expected to
be even bigger and more uplifting. There is really no greater feeling
than being together with so many brothers in Christ -- from all walks of
life and all at different places in their "journey."

Why not consider coming back again this year, or if you haven't yet been
to one, try it out for the first time. Join a bunch of us guys, as we
venture down to Boston on a bus on the morning of March 17th. It's also
St. Patrick's Day, the patron saint of the Archdiocese of Boston, which
makes the day even more special.

Speakers at this year conference include the following:

Carl Anderson, Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus (...you should
read his resume beyond his involvement with the Knights!).

Patrick Madrid , a popular teacher and defender of our faith. For more
information on Patrick Madrid, please see http://www.surprisedbytruth.com/.

Cardinal O'Malley

Cardinal Peter Turkson, Archbishop of Cape Coast Ghana. Born in 1948, he
is the 4th youngest Cardinal in the Catholic Church and the first
Cardinal from Ghana.

Fr. Roger Landry and Scot Landry - Scot is a co-founder of the Boston
Catholic Men’s and Women’s Conferences. Both brothers grew up and
attended Lowell schools.

Martin Doman - Music Ministry
Our brother Knight, Fran Burke, has already secured a block of reserved
seating at a huge discount, upfront and near the stage. Tickets are
going fast. So, to secure a good seat at what will be a great day,
please contact Armand DiLando (978-250-1332), Mike Chalsen
(978-663-9564), Fran Burke (978-692-3874) or Rob Donnelly (978-250-4016)
ASAP. Tickets are $19 for the conference, $30 including transportation.

Information is also available at: http://bostoncatholicmen.org/

Thanks, and we're looking forward to hearing from you.
God Bless,
Armand, Rob, Fran and Mike
